Day 10 - August 14, 2018

Despite the differences in culture, religion and nationality, I proved that there are some things that unites us in special ways. I remembered from my literature class several semesters ago that Literature binds us no matter where you are in this world because the emotions, the social issues, romance and tragedy written in literature are universal parts of human beings and the society, it just depends on the intensity and level where yours belong. Either way, its fun to think that miles away, they know the books I read, the writers I know, movies I’ve watched and songs I heard. There is that feeling of additional closeness when you realize you share the same things together despite the differences.
Teaching Week
It’s my teaching week but I don’t have any classes for Tuesday that’s why I spent the time for additional observations. After that, I devoted some time to finish my Lesson Plans for Week 14 and 15 in both of my classes. I passed them to my supervising teachers for any revisions. I was able to revise my Lesson Plan and it was signed on the same day. I prepared my materials for my class the next day like the Plant Model I made and some visual aids. I also did more observations. For reinforcement and classroom management, I prepared some stars for my students.
Our Common Playlist
Back in the dormitory, MJ played a song from her Spotify. The song was Perfect by Ed Sheeran. We were surprised when we just sang altogether in the chorus part. Later that night we also watched a movie together. It made me realize that we may have different culture, religion, beliefs and nationalities, but we still listen to the same song and sang together. This small similarity feels bigger than our countless differences.
