Day 5 - August 9, 2018
“Small home away from home."
One thing I observed on the long ride from Phuket to Nakhon Si Thammarat is the road. The roads and streets are very much similar to what I saw in Philippine provinces, but the massive canopies of trees are very evident. As a Future Science Educator, my heart is filled with joy to see green everywhere blended with the blue sky and ocean. Despite the miles away from home, I feel home.
Morning Assembly
They celebrate their morning assembly not very different from how we celebrate it in the Philippines, especially in the Public Schools (as what my co-student teacher informed me). There was their own band of students with different instruments: Lyre, Drums and Melodica. They were in-charge for the opening march as well as the background music when singing of the National Anthem.
Observation Day
August 9, 2018 is my first observation day at the Satit School. I was introduced to the two classes I will be handling: English Program Level 3 and English Program Level 5 with my supervising teachers, Mr. Felix Montecino (Teacher Felix) and Ms. Jesille Padernal (Teacher Jesi). Below is my tabulated observation of EP5 class.

Room 306 - Dormitory M: Our home for almost a month
When I got back to the dormitory, which looks very much like my old dormitory in Manila (except for the balcony and the toilet room was found inside the room, not outside), I immediately started making my lesson plan for the following week. Supposedly, deadline of lesson plans is every Thursday before the weekly meeting, but since we just arrived, they were kind enough to give us an extension until Tuesday, next week. Attached to this page is the button for the template of their Lesson Plans. It was simpler than what we make but it still contains the four basic building blocks of a Lesson Plan: Learning Objectives, Learning Content, Learning Activities and Learning Evaluation or Assessment.
