Day 14 - August 18, 2018

“When lost, use it as opportunity to wander.”
It’s hard to be lost in a place you barely know, especially when the people and you do not share similiar language, what more if you’re not literate about their letters, signs and symbols. It will be a big guessing game and charades. However, as you walk around, you’ll see new things you probably haven't seen when you weren’t lost. So when you’re lost, wander. You’ll eventually find someone or something that will guide your way back home.

Finding the Way on Our Own

It is another weekend and we were busy preparing our Lesson Plans and Instructional Materials. My topic for the next meeting would ba sexual reproduction of animals for EP5 and Forces for EP3. We were planning to have lunch only in the cafeteria, but by noon we decided to go to the city. We went there alone since we wanted to explore the city by ourselves and it was an adventure for us. Safety in mind, we had back up plans whenever we get lost with the help of internet. But as much as possible we did it on our own. Fortunately, when we were going down the song thaew, a girl form NSTRU guided us towards Sahathai Plaza. From there we already knew the way. We bought some things from the stores in Sahathai Plaza and I also bought some Tamarind for my family and Nom Yen for me which I really like.

Dinner and Central Plaza

On the way out of Sahathai Plaza, we passed by a teacher in the school and she invited us to have dinner. We then went to Central Plaza by another song thaew. We had Dairy Queen there and toured around the mall. Going home, she called a taxi for us and we went home safely. Before we ended the night, we decided to clean the dormitory.
