Day 9 - August 13, 2018

"Despite how busy you are,
never forget to breathe and relax once in a while."
Living is tiring when you don’t rest once in a while. It is important to treat yourself short breaks or rewards after accomplishing something. Take time to appreciate the beauty of nature and take on new challenges because you might find happiness at the edge of a cliff. In this way, you might love living even more.

Monday was holiday!

Monday is holiday because of the Queen’s birthday. We spent the time in making Instructional Materials and finalizing our Lesson Plans. I had to submit four lesson plans, two for this week and two for next week’s schedule. We were grateful when there were materials in the Satit School that we could use for making the IM’s. My class would be in EP5 (Plant Asexual Reproduction) and in EP3 (Changes in Objects). Two different branches of science, Botany and Physics, that’s why it is a great challenge for me.

Little House in the Valley Cafe

By noon, Mr. Sherwin Lacang, a coordinator from the International Relations Department, offered to accompany us in going to a café. We rode two Song Thaews before reaching the place. It did not disappoint us. The place was indeed amazing but of course we had to remove our shoes before entering. From the name itself, “Little House in the Valley”, you could tell what it was like. There were nets on the edge of the building where you can sit and relax several feet above ground. We were aware of how busy our week will be, but we had to use this moment to relax and enjoy the place. In Thai, they say it as “Sabai-sabai” or relax and chill, I can imagine in the Philippines we have this expression “Chill, chill lang” that almost mean the same thing.
