Day 27 - August 31, 2018

"Education is the most powerful weapon which
you can use to change the world"
Nelson Mandela
We often wonder where do people get their attitudes or way on how to react with things. One of the answers will definitely be through education, what he or she got from school. School is a very important place where children can learn and grow as individuals. It is also a place where their knowledge is hastened for the practice in real world. As what Nelson Mandela said, education is indeed powerful. As teachers, it is our responsibility to instill  and develop truth and good in the minds of the students because they may use whatever it is for the future.

Last Day: Morning speech, free lunch and additional class

In the morning, there was a short program for us. The school gave us a token of appreciation and we also gave a short message. We took it as an opportunity to add up more stored memories by taking photos with our mentors, friends and people who helped us throughout this project. We also had a chance to visit our classes again and had photos taken.

We had lunch with the Director of the Satit where we ate Pad Thai again which I like. Before going back to Satit School to finish our duties for the day, the Vice Director gave us a badge of the university which seemed very elegant. Then, we went back to the school for me to prepare for a substitution class for Mini 2/3.

Satit Market

The classes each prepared a small stall for whatever they were planning to sell. For example, the EP3 were welling some Som Tum they made on the spot. Others cooked fries, potatoes and drinks. My favorite was the Coconut ice cream with sticky rice in the cone. We spent some money but they were all worth it.

Mu kratha Restaurant

We felt special when the Filipino teachers in Satit invited us to go to a Mu Kratha restaurant for our farewell party. Mu Kratha restaurants are similar to table grills restaurant or korean barbecue where raw food are available in buffet style and a hot pot is placed on the table. It was somehow affordable because we only spent 189 each, when we were about to pay, Teacher Ben, said that he's gonna treat us.
