Day 20 - August 24, 2018

Ten more days to go!
Our count down started and we will only stay here in ten more days! Like what I wrote in my Journal for Day 15, I could feel the satisfaction and fear even more intensified. I was torn between wanting to go home to the Philippines and meet my family and friends again or stay here in Thailand. Of course, I’d choose to go back to my country, but I will always save a spot for Thailand in my heart. It was my home for only less than a month, but I grew here as I deal with other people and practice the profession I dream about.
Fixed Papers

I could finally say that I left a mark in Thailand because I fixed my lesson plans and I placed them in the history file of the Satit School. It was like leaving a part of me like a horcrux in Harry Potter, but kidding aside, although I know it is no big deal for most, for me, I left it there and it’s somehow a big mark for me that I left in Thailand for others to see that at some point, I became part of their school’s history.

I finalized my final lesson plans for my final week in Thailand. Another instructional material should be prepared for next week. We were also informed that evaluators may come in our class for the evaluation requirements of the SEAMEO. It added more worries for me since my class in for two hours each and I didn’t have any idea when will they come. I shared this fear with my friends and family. They encouraged me by saying “with evaluators or not, you still have to do your best when teaching”. It was indeed right and I wanted to think of it whenever I am teaching.

2018 EHS Club Fair  (Back in UST, Philippines)

This day was also the 2018 EHS Club Fair back in our Demonstration School in UST. I was assigned to be a Junior Advisor of the Agham Society, a club for students that focuses on science and environmental activities. I wasn’t able to be there to celebrate the club fair but I thank my two other JA’s, Sir Jizer and Sir Jonas together with the other student teachers from my major who helped in the activities for the fair.

Dinner at Colcha

Our Thai Buddies invited us for dinner together with some freshmen. I was surprised when I saw the freshmen who helped me in the laundry last time in my past journal entries. I ordered Beef Steak because I was craving since last week. It was affordable for me considering the size and taste of the dish. I love it and wanted to eat there again.
