“Variation makes us special and unique.”
In teaching, you don’t just teach students and let them do the job. Being a teacher is engaging yourself in life-long learning. As I make my PowerPoint for a lesson about reproduction, I reflected on how diverse organisms can be and that how different we are from one another. This is not something to be taken negatively, rather, something to ponder among each other because as part of creation, I believe that all of us are special and unique in our own special ways. So, love ourselves because we are one of a kind.
Ate adobo while watching a movie
I checked the growth of the onions of my students. They grew some roots already. I also checked if they were continuing their observations and filling up the observation sheets I provided per group. They were excited abou t the growth of the onions but some got sad when they saw no changes. I told them to wait because growth takes time.

I did not do much this day because I finished my Lesson Plans ahead of time and also my Instructional Materials for my following classes. While in the Teachers’ Room, another teacher invited us to come over for dinner. We were so hungry for Filipino food that’s why we asked MJ to cook Adobo for us in his apartment. Right after class, we went to Lotus, a mini-supermarket beside NSTRU and bought some ingredients for Adobo. We looked for some spices and condiments but weren’t able to find the exact same kind that we use. Instead, we bought some alternatives like a different type of soy sauce and vinegar. When we arrived in the apartment, we couldn’t wait to cook and eat adobo. While waiting, we decided to watch a movie. Eating a local dish from your country somehow gave us a slight taste of home. The apartment also smelled like home because of the automatic Glade Air Freshener that sprayed in the room. We had that in our living room, it somehow made me feel closer to home.
